After spending the week in NYC working backstage at New York Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2016 the craziness was over and it was time to do some sight seeing. Ryan joined me for the weekend to explore the city and we packed in as much as we could!
Saturday morning we woke up early and took the train to Dumbo, Brooklyn. DUMBO is a neighborhood in Brooklyn and stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. It was a beautiful day and once I had some much needed coffee in me we were ready to look around. On our walk from the train to the Brooklyn Bridge we passed by the Manhattan Bridge and a colorful graffiti mural by street artist Craig Anthony Miller. We took our time walking through the neighborhood taking everything in. We eventually made it to the bridge and walked our way across back to Manhattan.
My style for the day was casual chic since I knew we had a lot planned, the weather was hot and a we had a lot of walking to do. When traveling I like to pack a lot of neutrals and basics so I can mix and match outfits together easily. This cotton tank and origami skirt was perfect for what we had planned. I added some pizzazz with a bright turquoise Rebecca Minkoff bag and my favorite snake skin flats.
